Most sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are spread through unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Additionally, they can be transmitted via direct skin-to-skin contact, sharing sex toys or drug paraphernalia, and from mother to child during pregnancy or childbirth.
Unprotected oral sex is the most common way to contract an STI, as these practices are often performed without protection. After engaging in unprotected oral sex, it is important to test for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Candida, Mycoplasma genitalium and Syphilis, regardless of whether you were giving or receiving.
We would recommend the complete VidaLoca urine + blood 10-test bundle for maximum security.
Engaging in unprotected vaginal sex puts us at risk of contracting Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma genitalium, Gardnerella vaginalis, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, and HIV. Additionally, vaginal sex can lead to infections with other STIs such as Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma, Candida, and Trichomonas.
We would recommend the complete VidaLoca urine + blood 10-test bundle for maximum security.
Anal sex practices significantly increase the risk of contracting STIs, as it is the most potent route for acquiring these infections. Therefore, a comprehensive check-up for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma genitalium, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, and HIV is recommended.
We would recommend the complete VidaLoca urine + blood 10-test bundle for maximum security.
Yes, certain STIs can cause complications during pregnancy, including:
Chlamydia and Gonorrhea: These can lead to preterm labor, low birth weight, and eye infections in the baby.
Syphilis: Can cause miscarriage, stillbirth, or severe birth defects.
HIV: Can be transmitted to the baby during pregnancy, delivery, or breastfeeding, but with proper treatment, the risk can be greatly reduced.
For testing Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma genitalium, and other bacteria that cause genital infections, you must wait two weeks after your last antibiotic dose.
However, you can test for syphilis, HIV, and hepatitis B without waiting.
Once you have decided which kit you want you will be prompted to choose a Citypaq collection locker of your choice. Once that is confirmed we will let you know when and how to pick up your collection kit completely anonymously. When your sampling kit is ready to collect we will send you an SMS message. In order to maintain your privacy, this message can be changed to whatever text you wish (e.g. ´the Eagle has landed´, ´time to take your car for service´ etc). Just let us know.
Your sampling kit will remain in the Citypaq locker for a maximum of 5 days. If it is not collected before then, it will be sent back to us. In the case you have not collected your sample kit, let us know and we will send a replacement kit.

Absolutely nothing. We will send you an SMS message each month to collect your sampling kit. Cant collect it, want to collect another day or change the collection address because you are on holiday? No problem all of these things can be changed within the mobile app.

Don’t panic! Most STIs are easily treated with a course of antibiotics. The first thing to do is contact a clinic who will arrange confirmatory testing and treatment. Rarely some existing conditions or medical treatment will result in a positive result even when you don’t have an infection (false positive). Therefore, a second test is always a good idea. Don’t forget untreated STIs can cause health problems, don’t take the risk get treated.
Rarely a test can show a negative result even when an infection is present (false negative). This can be due to a number of reasons; the sample wasn’t collected properly, the sample was collected before detectable levels of infection, the use of medication interfered with the test, the symptoms are due to another STI that was not tested, etc. Whatever the reason, if in doubt get in contact with your clinician/clinic and get tested again.
